Why isn't common sense common at all?

Why is common sense not so common? We call it “common” sense. But in reality it is not common anymore.

You’re exactly right - in many areas today we have witnessed ‘the death of common sense’ - many things today are 180degrees out of where they should be - if you watch the evening news, it reads exactly like the book of Revelation - my belief/opinion, it appears the return of Christ nears…Hope this helps !!

One view might be that people aren’t required to have common sense anymore - Governments make laws & Businesses spell everything out to you so you don’t need to have commonsense nowadays. Before, those that didn’t have much in the way of common sense would be weeded out by making a poor choice. Today, they’re not even allowed to make that poor choice - they are told what they are to do.

There is a wonderful obituary floating around the internet for common sense - it can bee found at http://www.suddenlysenior.com/deathofcommonsense.html among other places.

Yeah, seriously. You’d think it’s common sense not to date your first cousin, get engaged at thirteen, or be anorexic. Yet we get these kinds of questions all the time.

I agree. I miss people who know what I’m actually taking about, and I wish that everyone knew what was happening in the world.

Im twelve(seventh grade, I started school at four) and read a newspaper everyday. And read several books per month. People think im dumb, because apparantly Im “pretty” and have blonde hair, and am I really THAT hyper?

Yesterday, one of my friends told me “You’re smarter than you look, and no one really knows that” and I actually had a fit ;l

-sigh- What has the world come to? Judging people by looks.. well. I can’t really talk, can I?…
