Why has my jack rusell lost weigh and breathing fast
Please could you help my dog had 6 puppys 3 weeks ago in the past 2 days I’ve noticed how fast she has lost weight and her breathing is short and fast what could this be
Go to the Vet…she may have lost weight simply because nursing pups takes A LOT…from the mom…breathing fast is not necessicarily connected to weight loss…like maybe there are TWO things going on here.

she’s probably just tired. she’s most likely losing weight because she’s using her own calories and nutrients to provide milk for the puppies. that can also explain the breathing. when dogs are very tired they do this for a WHILE. if I just take my dog on a walk she’s panting the rest of the day.
she could easily have a infection, please take her to the vet.
