Why doesn't Fun Advice allow HTML?

I was just wondering why, I noticed that theres not a lot of things we can type on here, (Like symbols and stuff) because Fun Advice doesn’t allow it. I love Funadvice a lot, I ain’t complaining either, Just wondering. Also, would there be a chance it would ever allow it?

What he said is truth,their are same things on this website that people can not do at all.

We’ll be seven years old at the end of this month…:) We’ve allowed (a few times) some lmited HTML in groups, but, usually there have been issues with the way we’ve structured the platform in the past, so, we couldn’t contemplate anything more dynamic.

However, we may enable some limited HTML in the future…one current plan for fun mail is that we’ll allow a more rich text editor to send / receive messages. Fun Mail is our 2nd biggest feature to asking / answering questions :) And it’s a natural fit for something like HTML or similar, as it’s a private communication between friends.

Another area we’re more - rather than less - likely to eventually offer it is the howto area, as it’s a natural “fit” when you compare that feature to similar offerings, elsewhere.
