Why does my dog's ears go back?

whenever I call her name or I’m about to pet her,her ears go back and she follows me whereever I go,what does it mean?

It’s either to show caution or submission. In your case it sounds like submission.

as mystery wolf said, sometimes it’s also if she is listening to you. If I call my basset, her ears go back because she is listening.

Mine does the same thing,it means it’s listening to your commands, except for my dog,his ears stand up.

Answer #4

It either means it’s happy it’s getting attention or it’s listening to you.

Answer #5
