Why does my cat bite me and try and force me to keep petting him

Hmmm he is beautiful and very affectionate, till recently he had plenty of attention from my daughers as well as me…now they moved out its just him and me, and for some reason he’s gotten awfully kissy and wanting endless attention. But when I pause or stop stroking him he bites! He drew blood recently and my yellping didn’t bother him. He uses the kissing and biting when he’s hungry, thirsty or wants out. He’s a really clever little thing gives paws and hi fives so why has he started biting and how do I stop it,

when your cat bits you you need to hit him softly on the nose and tell him to stop. I have had my cat for a couple of months and he bit me once and I did that and he hasn’t bitten me since.

Answer #2

cats play that way. please dont hit him on the nose : ( especially male cats I think, tend to show a lot of affection especially after getting fixed. I had a male kitten, I dont have anymore, and he would do the same thing. I’ve had two male cats, but one ran away after getting him fixed. anyway, cats love attention when they want it. I don’t know how to stop him from biting, is it really that bad or is it just the fact that hes biting that bothers you? I know sometimes it actually hurts, but only for a minute.. I think its cute when my cats bite me. anyway, maybe you can find a spot to pet that makes him sleepy so hell fall asleep and you can stop petting with no bites.
