Why does my boyfriend feel this way?
Ok so me and my boyfriend were talking last night, something came up and he told me that he still loves me just not as much as he used to. I was so hurt by that because I felt like he doesn’t care about me anymore but I love him so much and I don’t want to lose him. He used to say how much I meant to him all the time but he doesn’t anymore. Any ideas on how I can change that and why did he even tell me that he didn’t love me as much as he used to? Please help I can’t stop crying, I feel like I’m losing him:(
Ouch that hurts. Well, now that he’s let the cat out of the bag and it’s time for both of you to face the music. You’ve got to respect him for being honest, it musn’t have been easy to tell you his feelings. The thing is, if that is how he feels then you can’t do much to change it. Remember that he DOES care for you and very much so, that is why he is trying to be honest with you. He might just be going through a phase where he needs space to think and understand his feelings better. Latching on to him, being heavy, crying and begging him to stick around are only going to push him away. Be honest with him, tell him how much it hurt and that you love him too much to only be half loved back. Ask him to think about how he feels and why. Otherwise, try to lighten things up by getting out and doing fun stuff together. Give him time to think about what he wants and ask him to talk about it in a few days.
