Why does my alcoholic father always shake even while drinking?

I have an uncle that does the same thing. It is caused by drinking too much alcohol. Thats all I really know about it.

He is getting extramely sick!! I would take him to a place where he can get help and also to the hospetal I dont want to worry you but this could cause him to die. He nees help right know!!

I used to shake all the time when I was a practicing alcoholic. The shaking is a combination of things damaged by the long term abuse on the body. The muscles are atrophied (diminshed), the electrolytes in your body are gone/way off balance, your nerves are not getting normal signals from the brain, the body is malnourished, the toxins in the blood are overwhelming and the body is actually shutting down.

After many years of sadness I finally went to treatment at Father Martin’s Ashley; now a little over 4 years later, I am finally healthy, nourished, and regaining muscle strength.

I will say a prayer for you and your father. I hope he gets the treatment he needs/ or has already gotten it.
