Why does it seem my friends hate me all of a sudden?

Okay…my friends act like they hate me all of a sudden. I have been going to church with the same people for years…and just now after I decided to go to a different church…none of them will talk to me…the won’t email me…and when I go to visit they act like I have a disease or something…is it something I’ve done to offend them…is it just me…or does it seem that they honestly have a problem with me…I mean I’ll call a friend of mine that I’ve known since childhood…a girl I look on as a blood sister and she tells me she doesn’t want to talk at the moment promises she’ll call back and never does…I don’t even bother to call her anymore…I just want to understand why they are acting this way…are they just jerks…or is it a simple misunderstanding on my part that I have to resolve before it can get any better?

I’m having the same problem after switching to a new school. The best thing I can come up with is that they’re jealous of new friends you may have made or that you’re leaving them behind. If you do hang out with them, avoid talking about your new church and focus just on them.
