Why does everyone say this to me since I am spanish??
So I know this is sooo random but I need to know the answer… So I am dominican and puerto rican and I was wondering why every single one in my family and all of my friends say that dominicans and puerto ricans hate each other?? Like it this is really bugging mee

They should all be saying: Dominicans and Puerto-Ricans have had conflicts in the past. Perhaps they tell you they hate because they have their own opinions and experiences. I think you should find a Dominican friend, and a Puerto Rican friend, and introduce them. See for yourself if they really hate each other. Are you going to identify yourself with these personal conflicts from history? or will you define yourself by your own life, based on your own experience? Do you suppose that every Puerto Rican hates every Dominican? not likely! I could easily say that Americans and Shiite Muslims hate each other, but that by no means indicates that I personally hate Shiites, as an American.
Hate is a hard and cold word.
Is because the had manny conflicts in the past and a lot of problems have been developed between eachother. But look at you! You are mixed and you dont see anthing wrong whit it. is just some people who keep the hate, it all depends on the people some people keep hate and some people just ypu know forget all about it and move on! Whitch is what we should all do!
lol Because they are ignorant and I mean hey im puerto rican and Dominican as well (ponce, Santo Domingo, Capital) Buht I Personally DO NOT LIKE dominicans. Imean I guarantee Your Puerto Rican Family is Sometimes talking about platanos and “Me Gusta Esa Baina” LOL MY FAM DOES that a lot!!!
Iknow it bothers you obviously lol but just dont take it so serious like learn to joke around with it remember you carry one of the Greatesttt Race EVER in your blood LOL Puerto Rican The Goya Beans lol. :D
