Why do my cats keep attacking each other!?

I have two male cats, about a year old, one of which has been de-sexed but the other not as it was too expensive at the time.

The de-sexed cat (Jack) has recently started randomly attacking my other cat (Shady) and they fight nearly everyday, at night or during they day. I have noticed that they do tend to get jealous of each other but it has never been anything like this. Has it also got something to do with Shady still having his nuts? I don’t know what to do, help!

Answer #1

It has more to do with the fact that cats are high territorial (especially males)…and both are reaching maturity. Get the other cat neutered, that might help…still, they are both males, so a squirt bottle might come in handy, to break up the battles. They may just decide to stick to different parts of the house.

Answer #2

if they are both males then thats your problem…theyre trying to let the other know whos boss…trying to mark their territory thats all…thats what happens when you have multiple cats, especially males

Answer #3

It could be they are starting to get teritorial or just jealously if you find yourself showing one more attention than the other.
