Why do Jem and Scout fight in To Kill A Mockingbird?
I’m reading tha book To Kill a Mockingbird and I can’t seem to put my finger on why they fought.. it’s based on Ch14..
PLEASE HELP ME ! thanks I appreciate it.
I’ve kind of forgotten what exactly happens in each chapter. If you could say what the fight was after, and what briefly has happened, then I could help you.
I’ve been meaning to read that book again :)
They fought because Scout’s brother was reaching puberty and he didn’t want to hang out with his baby sister as much as he used too. He was starting to turn into a man and Scout was still only a little primary school girl. Their father Atticus, was the one who pushed his son to keep an eye out on Scout, hence Jem was always quite shi*tty about the arrangement because he enjoy going off and doing his own stuff without his baby sister ‘tagging’ along.
what exactly happened in ch14? then I can tell you I read it last semester so I’m not sure
