Why am I bleeding so much after taking the morning after pill?

Hi guys, just needing some advice About a week ago my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex hut he didn’t come in me and I was in the last/2nd last days of my period. But just to make sure everything was ok I took the morning after pill. I hAVE taken the pill before with no side effects, by this time about 3days after I took I started to bleed heavily. Almost like the start of a period, but the blood seemed thicker and it didn’t seem like I’d was all blood, like there was something thicker. I’ve bee. Bleeding for almost 3days now, and it I THINK might have started to slow down. My period normally lasts 5days. The chemist that talked to me about the pill said that it will mess with my hormones and may make my period late or early , so could this bleeding be an early period or something more ? If so what could it be? Thanks xxx I havebeen getting cramps like a normal period too. But my last period was about a week ago. Could the pill bring it on this soon?

Sigh. Dont you love ignorant people? The morning after pill does not kill zygotes. (A zygote is not a small baby, a zygote is the initial cell formed when the two gametes fuse, if you want to want to push it, a fetus is a small child). That would be the abortion pill which terminates implanted zygotes. It does not cause miscarriages. A miscarriage is a spontaneous loss of a fetus. If the pill actually removed the fetus it would be an abortion. I mean is it really too much to expect ignorant people to do research first? Well then I suppose they wouldnt be ignorant. So I guess it really is too much to ask for. Sorry. Done with my rants against the ignorant. I dont know who said this, but the half-educated are truly the dangerous people.

You’re bleeding so much because like the chemist (chemist?) told you, it is messing with your hormones. When I started on the pill for a few days (the regular pill), I was almost hospitalized because I bled so much. It can happen. If it does not stop soon, you want to consult a doctor before you become anemic. Odds are the bleeding will slow down soon. Your periods may be messed up for a few months afterwards.

Megan: yes I did, but would I bleed for three days? And so heavily?

Answer #3

what the pill does is kill any zygote (small baby) that could be contracepted… so it couid be the pill working and giving you a miscarriage… ever think of that.?
