Who might know why my eyeshadow ends up smudged?

I have never had this before but lately I have noticed that by the afternoon, my eyeshadow is smudged and in my eye crease there is a thick line of my eyeshadow. Is it the eyeshadow, face cream, face wash??? Anybody had this problem before, if so help! I hate the way it looks!!!

Shay,

Is urban decay in the states? Because I am in Canada. If there is anybody out there from Canada that knows where I can pick up the primer please let me know!

Thanks all for your suggestions!

Hey Girl, I get what your trying to say. You have this dark line on your crease. Well that happens because some people have oily skin on their nose, forehead and eyelids. But I recommend you use eye primer, what it does is it makes your eyeshadow stay in place, and it wont crease(meaning you wont have the dark line on your crease). It’s just the oils in your skin that makes it like that, also sweat and sometimes it depends on your eyeshadow too. But trust me girl just get eye primer, and apply first all over the lid and crease and brow bone and the bottom lid if your going for a smoky look.

I dont know why your eyeshadow smudges but you can buy any kind of eyeshadow color thats called colorstay, it should make your color stay all day, I use it myself.

Okay! I think everyone is confused by what I am trying to explain!! It is my eyeshadow not mascara. The crease in my eyelid not under my eye! I do put powder on my eyelids before I apply the eyeshadow. Also, what would the eyeliner have to do with it?

I think a contributing factor to your eye shadow smudging is skin oils, and maybe sweat but heck thats what eyebrows are for! well at least from what I know.

Heres a tip, take a Q-tip and drag some face powder right under your eye near your water line, that should keep the area relatively dry from any sort of oils :)

its generally the eye liner, it means that perhaps at some point during the day your eyes have gotton very watery or maybe you skin is oily, the best way to prevent this from happening is to regularly check, also try not to put too much cream around your eyes.
