Who doesnt have a best friend?

Everyday it seems as if more and more people (mostly girls) are in pairs and have best friends..

I’m 14(8th grade) I used to have a true best friend,and she moved to duabi..since then,I have some good friends that I really care about,but those good friends all have one girl that they’re reallyreally close to,(best friend).

And I just wish I could have one to,like I used to.I just feel like everybody already has one,..and then I feel alone inside,.

Anyone else feel the same? Or any advice?

I had one best friend, and I truly grew attached cause we were so alike,we couldve been separated at birth! But she always had a biting sarcasm that stung and it got worse once we grew older and went into middle school. I still wanted to be joined at the hip, but she left me for another friend cause I was supposedly ignoring her when I was diagnosed with Major Depression and didnt want to talk to anyone for a while and its a big whirlwind. We only talk casually at school now. It turned from having her over at my house every single day and talking on the phone for hours,to growing tension and jealousy,boys,to her backstabbing me,to becoming distant,to having absolutely NOTHING to talk about, to not even a friend status, more like frenemies. But theres a lot more to the story that would take me decades to type. At first I never listen to my family that friends come and go, but they do and the truth hurts.But one day, a good friend for you will come along. :)

I dont anymore, I used to I guess but I don’t know HS changes people and college didnt help either

I understand exactly how you feel. I had a bestfriend for 2 years and over the summer we got in a fight and dont talk to each other anymore. now I dont have a bestfriend. like you, I have many other friends but not a bestfriend. just give it time and next year when your in highschool hopefully you will meet someone and get a bestfriend. im in 8th also going into 9th and thats what im hoping for. just have hope and you will be fine.
