Who can verify Research on dr.patient confidentiality?

So I have been doing some research and from what I have found doctors in Massachussetts can not tell your parents that you have requested for birth control wether it’s for pregnancy prevention or period cramps if you are a minor. What I don’t know is if you say your having sex does it change what they can tell parents? Can the doctor tell your parents if your a minor that your having sex and does it go on your medical records parents see?Also does it show up on medical records that parents see? Any help you can give on this subject or other info you know about it, any stories from experience, would help.
