How does whey protein work?

i have a general idea, but one thing i hear people talking about is that once you stop taking it, you lose the muscle gained from it. is that true? i dont think so i just wanna be sureee

Answer #1

Protein is suppose to gain you more muscle.

Answer #2

Whey protein is composed of amino acids from milk and also contains Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA’s). These are used to enhance muscle fibers when you work out or after a workout to stimulate growth.

Answer #3

It goes into your muscles after a workout and helps them recover from all the physical activity they did, and the protein shakes give you some more calories which also helps with muscle growth, but right after your workout you should be having a healthy meal of chicken and some salad and some almonds or something, that will go a lot further towards muscle growth, but if you find your muscles always hurt after working out, all protein really does for the most part is muscle recovery so they don’t hurt at much the next day, and if your going to buy protein only get a whey type, all the others that GNC sell like monstermass, they are just a big cash grab
