weve been together for over 3 years and hes going into the army. I was wondering if we should get married before or after bootcamp? pros and cons would be helpful because I have to convince my parents since I wont be 18 for a few more months.
You should get married before bootcamp -- that way when he gets stationed you will be his wife and you can go with him and live on base without it being a problem. If you are not married they can not promise that you can live with him let alone that they won't station him half way across the world.
study shows after 8 years of together and still no marriage, the relationship will break apart.
So you guys still have a lot of time (virtually speaking.)
if you get married hell get separation pay and its a 15% pay increase I would go for it even if it doesnt work out in the end divorce is pretty cheap
