When do you use Reflechis Verbs for French???

For french, when would you use the Reflechis verb thing? I know how to do it, but I dont know when to use it.

I got this! We literally JUST learned this yesterday! You use a reflective verb when referring to someone doing something to themselves… such as putting make-up on. To say “I put on make-up” it would read “Je me maquille.” But if you were putting make-up on someone else, a reflective verb would not be used in the sentence. However, it doesn’t have to just be what a person does to themself. For example, if the car ran out of gasoline and stopped, a reflective verb would be used.
