My french exam is in a couple of days and I still don't understand how you know which one to us (tu, nous, vous) when doing l'imperatif for a sentence. Can someone please help I'm desperate. thanks xoxoxox <3
It really doesnt matter what tense you are using (present, passe compose, imperatif) , the tu,vous and nous part always depends on who you are referring to...
tu: you (used for one person and only when you are being informal like with a friend) vous: you (used for one person when you are being more formal like with a teacher, or used to refer to many people, so like 'you can start your test now' when talking to a class) nous: we
here it is:
Vous et tu obtenez sur l'autobus, nous quittons tout de suite.
translation: You and you get on the bus, we are leaving right now.
tu: you vous: you nous:we l'imperatif: imperative
hope it helps:)
