How can I keep my hands from being dry without using lotion?

Don’t know how you can do it in winter without lotion but listen to this: My hands get so chapped that they crack open and bleed. I don’t like my wife’s lotions because they are too greasy and slippery. A new product called “Vasaline For Men” hand lotion is really good stuff. It’s like you didn’t even use lotion but what a relief instantly.

It is very hard to do esp now in the winter, also washing your hands a lot dries them out, but you kinda need to do that when you use the bathroom soo… Also as (Prine Connor) said drink lots of water that keeps you hydrated, don’t drink alcohol cause that dehydrates you. If I can ask why don’t you wanna use lotion?

Keeping well hydrated helps. Also you may want to switch soaps to a milder version of like Camay, Ivory or a gentler soap. And antibacterial gels are alcohol which dries the skin out even more. Unfortunately if your against lotions then that leaves the old indian method…Fat and grease neither of which smells or feels pleasant…LOL However I have when my hands got exceptionally dry broke caps of Vitamin E and rubbed them into my hands before bed and that works.

Normal things that help

• drink plenty of water (also will help keep you from getting puffy to)
• gloves
• rinse them under water every hour or so (also good to avoid getting sick)
• put lotion on them at night and wear gloves, it will keep you from haveing to apply it during the day -um i’ve heard breaking off a little of your chapstick and rubbing it in your hands suppose to help
• you can do the same with a bannana by rubbing it in your hands -vaseline (only a little)
• use hydrading hand soap
