What will happen if I leave my sunken monroe in?

I got my monroe done four days ago its been really swollen and the flatback is pressed really hard against the inside of my lip. The ball of my monroe is sunken pretty far into my lip also yellow stuff comes out when I press on it what do I do? I dont want to take it out my friend says she can give me a longer post and a bigger ball to help will that fix it?

Answer #1

I have my monroe and my cheeks and my cheeks were like that… and they healed actually 2 days ago and I ave had them done for a week and a half

Answer #2

I put a bigger ball on it today after I finally got the old one off it looks a lot better already, when the smaller ball was on it couldn’t heal properly, thanks everyone!

Answer #3

A friend of mine did those, when hers got infected she put honey on the inside of her lip, because bacteria can’t grow on honey, and her’s turned out fine. I don’t know for sure how well that works though.

Answer #4

No I didnt do it myself, I called the guy and told him and he said he gave me the longest post they have, but I doubt that. I cant even get the ball off myself because there isnt enough room to get a grip on it.

Answer #5

Ok. Wow. That sounds pretty bad. I would go over to the shop that did it and have them look at it. The piercer guy sounds like he may be a little bit of an a-hole, but he or someone else there will look at it and tell you what they think you should do with it-it’s their job to do so. If not, go to another piercer in the area and trash talk their competition by saying the guy gave you a crap piercing and refused to help you and someone from that shop will help you. It probably needs to come out or in the very least, the infection needs to heal, but you should let a professional give you their advice. Good luck!

Answer #6

Yeah, putting a longer post in would probably help. Your piercing is swollen larger than the post is long and sounds like it may be infected. I recommend going back to your piercer and having them look at it and change the post if they believe it to be necessary. You shouldn’t take the piercing out or change the jewelry yourself. At the shop, everything will be sterile and you’ll have the advice of a professional. You didn’t pierce it yourself, did you?
