As I’m sure you know, the ter.ror during the revolution was a hectic time. The lower class was angry because of how little power they had, and blamed not only the King, but the upper class as a whole. As the terr.or continued, they eventually started killing many people using the guilotine. They people they were killing were the people that they believed were causing more riots and were going against what they thought was “right”. Nobody was allowed to speak out because they WOULD be killed. But to my point; this is ironic because while the people were aiming towards peace, all they were doing by killing so many people was creating more of a problem. It’s called the Terr.or for a reason. It’s just strange how they thought these speeches and the killing of all the people who spoke their opinion would fix things. I hope I helped!
