What to wear to a semi formal?

I have no idea what that is..I know how to dress to a formal party but I’ve never been to a semiformal? is that the same? what should I wear? I was thinking a dark pink simple cotton dress…about knee length or a bit shorter…with high black heels and a black (godfather type) chapeau!!! Is it appropriate?

Pink cotton? make sure the fabric does not look cheap or like something you would wear to the park. Remember formal is very well dressed and semi formal would be classified as the same. A nice cocktail dress is appropriate.Dark pink looks really nice with black and or gold shoes. If you are doing black shoes, I would wear gold accessories. And I would just do my hair real nice I don’t know about the chapeau though, I think the simpler the better! have fun!

yeah thats cute=] for a semi formal cocktail dresses look really good with some nice pumps or something like that.
