What to do if plastation says no disc is in when it is?
Says no disc is in.what should I do to make it work? I have a playstation2 should I clean the laser
I always find a good long blow inside the disk tray opening can help ;)
Cleaning the laser couldn’t hurt (no water, no alcohol), and you might want to pick up a disc repair kit, which will fill in the small scratches that could be preventing the disc from being read.
Don’t apply to much pressure on the laser. You can try cleaning it with alcohol and a soft cloth but don’t put your fingers on the shiny side of the disk you could be smudging it. When your wiping it, don’t do it in circles, do it from the inner ring out. If its scratched then I think it would be time to get another copy of the disc. Or you can do what mike said and get a disc repair kit :)
