What should I do about the marijuana I found?

I found marijuana in my sister’s room when I was looking for makeup. it was less than the size of a penny, but I cant believe she did it. she is in college and I get to visit her this weekend. Should I talk to her about it or let it blow over? She is 18 and I am 13. we are pretty close if I do say so myself. I dont want to get her into legal trouble so no bringing it to the police. Help me please! Thanks! O.o

Well, if she was really into marijuana she wouldn’t leave it at home while she’s away at college; she would have taken it with her. True she may have just forgotten where she put it or maybe it belongs to someone else or maybe she tried it a while ago when she lived at home and didn’t like it enough to continue using it. There’s a lot of possibilities here but if you’re genuinely worried about her, talk to her about it. When you visit her this weekend look for signs of marijuana usage like bowls or rolling papers, strange smelling smoke, or if she just generally seems ‘weird’. If nothing seems out of the ordinary, I would let it go for now. Marijuana is something many young adults try and it doesn’t have to be a negative thing. She shouldn’t be using it around you or offering it to you, so if she does that may indicate a problem.

Well… and…

You can talk to her I don’t know meaby she will tell you not to do that. But she is an adult, and she can do what she wants… Talk to her about it? Sure But tell her not to do it? Sure but she can do whatever she wants.

Answer #4

Maybe she’s really into it, to find it lying around .. anyways, talk to her, surely her friends have huge effect on her. Talk to her wisely, not in a demanding way, and try not to ask a lot of questions. Good Luck!

Answer #5

She’s an adult. You can talk to her, but I dont really know what you could do about this? I mean it is her choice. If it’s bothering you, then by all means have a discussion with her.
