what shall I do?

im a girl of 16 and up untill 2 weeks ago I wanted to be a vet. now I dont think I can do it. I watched a lot of war strories and movies like platoon etc….. and now I cant stop thinking about joining the army. I feel embarrised about saying to people about it because I really need to get fit quick and all my sister kepps saying is that I will crack and I will never do it. the other problem is that my grandad keeps boasting to people that I wanted to be a vet and I fell nervous telling him about it. I want to join the royal artilliary (light gun) because it sounds challenging. what shall I do and say to my grandad?

What have you done to prepare for veterinary college? Have you taken advanced sciences in school? Have you any experience working with a veterinarian? If not, you are not serious about this profession. It would seem to be fairly evident that you wouln’t be accepted to veterinary college without these prerequisites. Tell your grandfather that you cannot make the cut. Which wouldn’t be a lie. As for the military, remember one thing, if you don’t like it you can’t quit. Your grandfather may be disappointed about your failure to become a vet but he surely expects that you attend college. Not rolling around in the mud and blasting cannons. Perhaps you should start from square one. Many people end up in professions that they hadn’t planned to. You needn’t make a life decision at this point in your life. Start college and open your mind and let the answer come to you.

what ever u pick is ur pick no one can chose for u but being a soldier is no easy job neither is a vet but u make more money like a vet and ur future family will have u there for them to cry on ur sholder or have a sholder for u to cry on,

Talking about doing things in our lives and experiencing therm are two different ends of the spectrum. Start working toward this goal by getting fit. If that is too much for you then reevalute what your dreams really are. Johnny Depp there has never been a huge fan of wars or combat.
