What's wrong with young love?

There’s always prejudice against young love. Why? I mean think of all the people that fall in love in high school, go on to marry and be happy for the rest of their lives? OR even if it doesn’t last, we were still emotionally touched by those times aren’t we? So why are parents so against it?

You still have so much to develop, the experiences you have in the next ten years, and the natural emotional maturity you go through, will change you so much as a person. You can’t begin to comprehend how different the person you are now will be so different to the person you will become in 10 years time. Like even between the ages of 18-21 you change so much. As you grow older, have more relationships, you begin to better understand what you are and are not looking for in a person. Incompatibilities emerge, as you become more sophisticated you start to notice things that you really don’t like in other people. Young love can sometimes work. But it seldom does. Most relationships fizzle out and die. As a 24 year old I have seen it happen to me and all my friends. We’re speaking from experience. Your parents are just watching out for you, they don’t want you to come to any harm/make the same mistakes as they did. I don’t have any emotional attachment to any of the people I had relationships with in high school, but I thought they were my life at the time…

well its mostly to do with the fact that young usually equates to inexperienced most of the things that you guys find serious now when you look back you probably say well…WTH was I thinking?…and that’s just from gaining insight and perspective that comes with age …so one thing is people say “they don’t even know what love is” because a lot of young people mix up the feelings that hormones give[butterflies in the stomach] with love [ especially teenagers whose hormones are on the rampage] …LOVE is just a commitment to care about another person anything else is a dramatization… SO THEY DON’T TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY… because to them you haven’t acquired the ability to think objectively
