I have a 12 week old husky samoyed tuesday night she got into the garbage friday she started having loose stools. Yesterday I noticed she had peeled potato skins in her stools. besides her having a upset tummy she is perfectly healthy no vomiting still eating her regular kibble drinking plenty and still tarmenting her sister so I think overall she is fine. the loose stools are starting to slow down but do you think I should rush her to the vet or let what is ailing her just go through her. The potato skins were fresh they did not have eyes and they were not green and the only reason I mention that is because some people have said if they had green spots on them or eyes that it would be toxic to her.
Someone please help?
Green spots on potatoes contain chemicals similar to strychnine though you would have to deliberately seek them out to ingest enough to have any adverse reaction.
More than likely the peels and other goodies she ate is just causing the diarhea. The only thing I'd be worried about would be if she ingestided chicken bones or chocolate. Other then that just wait it out.
I think that yoou should take him/her to a vet too make sure that it didnt swallow anything it wasnt suppost too. just to be sure ;D
