What kinda of kitten do I have?

I just got a baby kitten, he is completely black to where you can barely see his face… and he has long cotton candy-like really soft fur, kinda like… shredded cotton. & has tiny pointy ears, what kinda kitty do I have? Ill try to attatch a picture

Answer #1

He’s fine… and their scent has nothing to do with anything, he’s not going to get confused because you give him a bath… it’s only important if he’s still feeding off his mother… dont worry so much, you’re going to be a fine mom :P you really cant go very wrong, you already want to do the best for your kitty… so do what you think is best.

Answer #6

Yes, start brushing early in life. They will think you’re their Mommy grooming them You shouldn’t have to bathe your baby unless they get into something and really get filthy. They aren’t ordinarily fond of water, but one of my old stand-bys is a dry bath for getting oil or dirt off is “corn meal” Just rub it into the fur real well and brush the grit out. Leaves them happy and their coat soft and shiny.

Answer #7

I give mine a bath, I’d personally rather give my cat a bath than have someone else do it, stresses them out less… and if you plan on giving the cat a bath, start now while they’re young, will make it a lot easier later on. He may never like it, but he will be used to it by the time he gets older. Also start brushing now. He’ll take it easier than if you start later on. I use wipes in between washes. Occasionally stuff gets stuck on the bottom area (this especially happens with long hairs) and wet wipes are helpful. Other than that, cats are pretty good at taking care of themselves…
