What is the difference between an ipod nano and an ipod touch?

I mean I know one is touch screen and the other is not. But to me that seems like a bit more of a drag down. If you have to touch the screen everytime you want to do something then that means you would always have to take it out of your pocket and look at what your pressing right? Well I have an ipod nano and it seems easier to use than an ipod touch. But then again I don’t know. I have never used the touch before. So can someone tell me why the touch is so popular now? Is it because if its futuristic touch screen features or is there something more to it?

I find the iPod touch a little large for working out but otherwise it fits easily into jeans pockets. As far as controls go, the “capsule” on the headphones that come with your iPod have controls for changing volume, pausing, and moving to the next or previous track. I haven’t tried it yet but you are also supposed to be able to use voice commands to choose tracks etc.

If you’re really bummed out about having to look at the screen, you can buy headphones that have volume control on the wire by your ear, and you can click it once to pause and play the song, and double click it to change the song. I hate taking my touch out of my pocket to change the song too, so that’s why I bought those ear-buds.

The difference is that the Nano is a media player only, while the Touch is more of a pocket computer, with internet access, video games, and access to the Apple store so you can download new apps. I agree that having to pull the thing out every time you want to change something would be annoying, but you’re trading that for much greater functionality.

I have a nano and I haven’t really used an ipod touch, but the graphics look better, bigger screen (obviously) and you can get like, good games and apps for the touch. I know you can get games for the nano too but I think the touch ones look way better (:
