what is it really?

my girlfriend is on birth control pills, she was on them before I met her, she said she was on them from the time she was a teenager and like 13 years old or something and she is 24 now, when she first told me this couple months ago I asked her if she is having or had sex with some else and is she is or might be getting pregnant, she said no. so I ask her whats the reason for taking the pills then and she says its to regulate her period and its to stop the period pain. I told her to come off them and she wont. I told she is probaly the only woman who take contraceptives to regulate period and to stop menstrual cramps and she said no a lot of women does it here in australia. women near or far, is this true what she says about the birth control pills regulate period and stop the pain and you dont need to be pregnant to take them or should I be worried about this? does it happen to any of you. please help me I’m worried! thanks for youe advice its much appreciated.

Actually I spoke to my doctor the other day and she told me that one of the LAST reasons that she gives birth control pills is for birth control

They are generally given to: -regulate period -stop period cramps -clear up mild acne -help with pms -regulate irregular periods.

and a few other ailments as well.

It has nothing to do with pregnancy in her case, I myself started on birth control to help control period pains and spotting,

so leave her to drink it, it’s not nice having to swallow thousands of pain pills every month and feeling like you’re bleeding to death, plus feeling sick during that time - all for which the birth control pill helps.

You are incorrect… NUMEROUS women take birth control to make the menstral cycle more bearable.

you dont need to be pregnant to take them

The term ‘’birth control’’ isn’t meant to be taken literally. Birth control is designed to prevent pregnancy. Taking them WHILE you’re pregnant is pretty pointless… are you sure you’re saying what you mean?

Most girls use birth control to regulate their period. It makes them shorter and happen once every month or every three month depending. some women have there period 2 times a month which isnt good so they have to be on the pill to fix that. Dont worry. She probably needs to be on the pill so dont bug her about it. She’s the one bleeding out her vag silly not you so dont worry. Everything is A OK!
