What is it Possible to Be a Social Retart?

You expect us to know what’s wrong just by what you’ve said? It could be a lot of things. Social anxiety, maybe some sort of pervasive developmental disorder, Schizoid personality disorder, or maybe he just isnt too fond of people and he’s fine the way he is. Either way, if he’s unhappy, he needs to seek therapy. If you have issues with it, you should seek therapy.

There may be something wrong, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be the case. Some people just aren’t social butterflies?

Since your brother is an adult I don’t think you need to be getting up in his sexual business, but you could encourage him to go out with you more if you would like for him to go to more family outings. Leave the rest to him. He’s old enough to make his own decisions.

I hate family get togethers but thats only because my mum purposely shows me up. He is not a social retard, maybe he just doesnt know exactly how to deal with people, and being scared of being is strange but I know the feeling, im so scared of crowds of people and stuf that I have panic and anxiety attacks. Dont worry about it too much, maybe talk to him about it and ask why he has such a problem with people. Just so you know, I doubt he will appreciate it if you mention the words ‘social retard’ , its not a very nice way to put it and is actaully quite hurtful.
