What is a polite way to tell my friend she's acting skanky?
I have this friend that goes a bit overboard on flirting with guys. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with flirting with a guy you’re interested in, but making sexual remarks to dozens of guys is a bit much. I just don’t want her to make a fool of herself and get hurt. How can I tell her in a nice way to take it easy, and she’s putting herself out there way too much?
You should tell her it the way you just told all of us because I think that is appropriate.
Although I must warn you…it does not matter how you say something to someone, you can think of the nicest way to tell someone they’re being skanky and all they’re gonna hear in the end is that you called them a slut.
That is, until they calm down. So don’t feel too bad if she’s one of the many people who reacts to it like that. It’s normal. I’ve had it happen to me before when I tried to tell my sister in law that. She ignored me for a couple of months but she’s fine now.
Be straight up , honestly . Let her know what she is doing and that she is giving these boys the wrong signal. Do not call her a skank or names while you are telling her , for that could cause a fight , but just explain to her that what she is doing is wrong and that she may get a reputation from flirting with all these guys and it will not be a good reputation.
