What in the Bible has been disproven,and how and do you think that God created the Earth and life and Universe and why do you think so?
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and there are many evidences for the truth of the Bible and the Biblical account of creation, global flood etc. The intricate design in the human body, plants animals and the way the universe is set up so perfectly point to a loving creator God. We humans used our free will to turn away from God and that sin has caused the suffering and turmoil we see in the world today. We all do things we know are not right (sin)and that separates us from God. God loved us too much to leave us with no way way out so He sent His son, Jesus, who although He never sinned, was killed instead of us so that we can be right with God and have a personal relationship with Him and eternal life in a place with no more suffering or pain. All we have to do is believe and ask. A useful site is www.answersingenesis.org which has a lot of scientific evidence for the Bible. There is so much wisdom and truth in the Bible. small examples:It encouraged hygiene before science had understood germs. The old testament describes the 'sphere' (round shape) of the earth. It describes events in one country being seen around the world- thousands of years before satellite technology made this possible.

Actually I dont think any thing has only theories have bin make but nothing disproven in fact its just the opposite they have actually proven some of whats in the bible,,
I believe god created all of it beacuase I KNOW he did,,, when you have a relationship with him you would be amazed and how he can work in your life and the things he can do and the love that he shows. if you are trully old enough "because I don't know your age" and you think about what it takes for a human to live and how things were built by man or by god it is amazing,,, for a living thing to get cut and yet the human body is able to find these problems and fix them I know it might sound stupid but thats just cause your use to thesse things that are part of every day life but you will get what im saying one day
not regarding religion and all the rules and who believes what but just focused on god its so much different
The burden of proof lies with those who claim that the Bible is true. Some people, places and events the Bible refers to are real, such as the Israelite king David, the captivity of the Hebrews in Egypt, and the destruction of the Jewish temple by the Babylonian Empire. These have been verified by archaeology. Others, however, lack any proof, such as the plagues in Egypt from Moses, Joshua's unique siege of Jericho, or even the crucifixion and miracles of Jesus.
I sometimes wonder how familiar some Christians are with the Bible, or understand the true meaning of some if its passages. I also wonder if Christians are willing to approach the Bible with any skepticism at all, and ask how, for example, Noah was able to gather two of every species from across the planet and keep them all alive during his ark voyage, and then release them into the wild after landing...to me this is even more bizarre than the Biblical account of creation. Anyway, it's the Bible that must be proven true...nothing in it must be disproven.
If anything has been disproven, it will be mans fault, it will eventually be proven to be wrong. If God is God, and he is, then, he is more than able to provide a book of instructions, for his human family, to trust in, to be led by, and to stand on.
There is a book out that I reccomend, if you are truly interested, should open your eyes. I have truly been enjoying reading it, and it has been a blessing to me. It is called The Shadow of the Apocalypse, and it is written by Paul Crouch, founder of TBN network. It can be obtained thru tbn.org. It shows things previously hidden within the words of the bible, that God is just now allowing to be understood. I believe the bible with all my heart, and this revelation is leaving me with my mouth hanging open. It is also thought that deeper meanings are yet to surface, by the ones doing this research. God allows more light to shine when the time is right. He allows things that have previously been hidden to come forth, at his appointed time.
Well it starts with "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth..."
Anyone with a basic education should be able to figure out the Bible is nonsense.
Back then they had no knowledge of what was beyound the visible sky, so it was refered to as "Heavens". Now "Heaven" is refered to outside the Universe in "another dimension".
In the beginning a natruel cause caused our Universe, and Earth wasn't formed till billions of years later.
The moon does not make it's own light, and the rotation of Earth causes "Light and "Dark"
Humans were not created by an intelligent being. Humans evolved from other species for hundreds of millions of years.
The Bible also makes claims of a global flood that covered the Earth in 5.5 miles killing everything. Absolutly no evidence of such an event.

Did you read my post, two above yours? It's impossible to conclusively prove that something definitely didn't happen. The onus is on people claiming it did happen to prove that.
If you disagree, I demand you conclusively prove that aliens did not land on earth 1000 years ago and distribute free bananas to every citizen, or I will assume it is true.
rnealw: How can you simultaneously demand absolute proof of something and say "all things are possible with god"? If the latter is true, any proof of the former will just be met with "Yeah? Well God made it happen!"

Science is built on Reason, not on Faith. Were it not for reason, none of the things you see around you would exist, least of all your computer. We would all live shorter, more miserable lives without satisfactory healthcare or sanitation, or a good understanding of disease. Aren't all those good enough reasons (heh) to use reason?
We know that Satan is the great Deciever - he works through people for his purposes - those being doing everything he can to ensure you do not come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ - he knows his fate and wants to take as many with him as he can - verses can easily be taken out of context and severe spin (as we see in the political arena) put on them to change or alter the true meaning - so bottom line it all boils down to this: A person either believes the Bible is the inspired/infallable Word of God, true from cover to cover or not - either accepted or rejected - mans choice/free will.

Actually, my rejection of your religion has nothing to do with a hardening of the heart or ignorance. It's because I've studied the merits of your faith, and it is not something I want to be a part of due to all of its inconsistencies and faults.
The devil spoke through a snake in the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve to eat a forbidden apple. Later God was angered after they (Adam & Eve) ate the apple. Because of this act of stupidity... the world was eternally sunk =O Dangit huh?

Do you have preconceptions that the Bible is inerrant, and a willingness to make up speculations to reconcile it with itself and with the real world? If so, then no-one will convince you there are errors in the Bible. The same holds for believers in the Qu'ran, the Vedas, and Scientology.
If that ISN'T you, then just start reading Genesis. It's implausible from the very beginning, but the whole talking snake part is classic.
Any teaching contrary to the Bible is a lie, anything said against what God has said is a lie, and when the snake told Eve to eat of the apple for you surely will not die was a lie and all lies come from the imperfect deceiver: satan.
We have a perfect God and the imperfect liar was defeated at Calvary. Jesus has made atonement for me and you to get to the Father by bridging the chasm between man and God.

And Actually semi I did read them. . . . . A lot of "he said she said" type stuff but no researched facts, , , , And as for talking snakes and donkeys. . . all things are possible with God.
As spiritual leaders in the house, we fathers will aim our loaded quivers (our children) straight to the heart of Jesus. And we still do, "Let the children come to me for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."
Parents bringing up their children without God have missed parenting's highest calling. At any age, we are all God's children, there are no God's adults!
All records of events have been documented and preserved over thousands of years, unlike the city of Nephi in the LDS belief that cannot be located. If there was a war of 200,000 or 2,000,000 soldiers, wouldn't something be found? Not one arrow, not one casing or sword, or even one human or horse's bone has been located relating to the supposed site of a "great battle."
That "answer" doesn't even make any sense. How do you reconicle all the contradictory parts of the bible? Why don't you obey the more draconian parts of the old testament?
And for that matter, how do you know that an english translation of a book that's been written, rewritten, translated, retranslated, compiled and shuffled around is even accurate, much less true?

In that case, why do you only have a problem with the scientific principle when it conflicts with your religious beliefs? Why should something that has served us so well in every other area suddenly pose problems when applied to this one field?
It's impossible to conclusively disprove that events in the bible did not transpire as related, obviously - barring time travel, all we can rely on is circumstantial evidence. As others have pointed out, though, it's the responsibility of the believer to prove these things beyond reasonable doubt, not the responsibility of others to disprove them.

I don't find that it requires any faith to disbelieve in talking snakes & donkeys, animal coat patterns determined by grass color, bats being birds, rabbits chewing a cud, a stationary earth, flat earth, unicorns & dragons, faith healing, demonic possession, and a hundred other silly things that the Bible teaches to be true.
*** rnealw: You still haven't explained how you reconcile your 'all science is bad' *** Um. . . . . Refresh me on this, When did I say ALL science is bad? Some things in science are good. . . . like medicine and Computers and lightbulbs. . . . .

I think that you will get many answers giving you examples of things which have been 'disproven', and many others telling you that it is all true. I would simply say that as an archaeology/history trained student, I find that most of the 'disproofs' require as much faith as the 'proof'.
It depends on how literally you read the Bible and how you interpret what it says.
I find discussions on this subject become exercises in futility. Better to just start hitting your head against the wall as this will be more productive and enjoyable.

my advice is to not post any questions about if the bible is wrong or not.. because you will get many answers of many different beliefs which will confuse you even more. you can funmail me if you want to? but just read the bible some. it will help :)
rnealw: You still haven't explained how you reconcile your "all science is bad" position with the fact that you have no problem with living in a society created by science, or posting on this board using technologies produced through science.
neal, might we not just as equally ask "why not replace all reasoning with faith?". I think we will agree that reason is better than faith in mundane discussions?

Warmheart, you might want to inform your sons that there's nothing in the Genesis account that mentions that the snake was being possessed by a devil. I encourage you and they to read it again (or perhaps for the first time?).
I think it is wonderful that the questions are asked about God because all of us want to know more. Even if the questions are to try and "set us off." I am about to offer up a question in a few minutes, "What is your story?"
It's so funny poeple believe in the Bible, it's a book, stories not based on fact. And it was made up 2,000 years ago. Why replace facts and reason with faith in a book.

Well it helps to actually read the answers. But I guess it's easier to just get personal and throw out insults than actually come up with an intelligent response.
Well if the aliens didn't distribute the bananas, then WHO did Mr. smartypants? Therefor, the distribution of the bananas must have been doen by the aliens.
Nothing! God Who has been and will always be, spoke everything into existence, just by His Word He did it for us to discover...just how great He is!
