What does this mean?
I came across a question but I couldn’t answer it because it was locked, what does that mean?
If you come across a question that’s locked that means the person that asked the question was inappropriate. I’ve came across those questions before.
In addition to what mikeh said, sometimes if the questions are against terms of use, however there is a good answer (e.g. someone has a self harm problem and there’s a helpful suggestion) then sometimes the question is just locked instead of deleted
Advisors or admins usually lock questions when the discussion in the comments has gotten off-track of the question or when things start getting nasty. It keeps flame wars in check.
