What does Deposit actually mean?

I know it were you give someone a bit of money before hand! so say.. you bought a car For 900£, and gave them 300£ as Deposit Will you Still Have to Pay 900£ on top of You 300£?? or will you only have to pay 600£?

it would be best if you LEARN about this kind of thing before you go out and spend your money there are lots of things you need to know about money to insure that you dont get scammed or ripped off or treated unfairly deposit is an up-front payment you make to insure that your going to buy the product once you pay the deposit you only pay the money LESS the deposit money so youll only need to pay the 600 because youve alreday payed 300 on it but seeing as though you dont know what a deposit means I doubt you know what you need to know about buying a car from somebody especially if your not buying it from a shop and just a person it would be best if you talk to an adault about it or search on google for what you need to look out for when buying a new/used car

You would just have to pay the 600 more. The total cost of the car is 900. Your deposit plus the 600 credit.

I would make sure that’s settled before any money is forked over - if you sign paperwork, make sure it doesn’t say the deposit will be used only to hold the vehicle for your purchase and not applied to the balance ! (the fine print) - but I would say, certainly it goes towards the purchase price, then 600 due.
