What does a fever without any other symptoms mean?
Ok I’ve been watching my 4 year old nephew while my brother and his wife went out of town for the last week now. && for the past four days he has had a 104 fever, but he says nothing hurts. So I’m not seeing any signs except for the fever.. I give him ibprofen and his fever goes down for an hour or two and comes back. What could it be??
Not to scare you, but his time being a 104 degrees period is a sign that something is seriously going on, especailly if it’s only working for hour. It’s suppose to last for at least 4-6 hours.
You need to take him to the doctor and get him checked out, his mom should have left his insurance cards. If not then call her and they can verify information for him over the phone. He’s need to see a doctor. 104 temp is bad for any one especial little kids, their body can only to so much. Giving him to much medicine isn’t going to help either.
Your best bet is to get him to so kind of doctor, if not his gerenal, then urgent care or the emergency room. Make sure he’s drinking prenlty of flulids because wheather you can see or not he’s losing them. Give him cold stuff, like a freeze pop, and keep a cold towel on his help. I don’t have kids but I have nieces and newphes, so I know what to do. Get him looked at ASAP! Hope he feels better.
