What do you think about my class placement?

here are my classes honors biology honors geometry honors Spanish honors world history (but I will probably get into AP) standard English (but might switch into honors) I am going into high school next year can I still get into a good college if I take a standard English class freshmen year?

so long as your gpa is pretty high (3.6 +), they will look more at your extracurriculars. think about it: student A, took 5 honors or AP classes, with 4.0 gpa, no activities student B, took 5 honors or AP classes, with 3.7 gpa, with a job, being on 3 time-consuming clubs, going to competitions (sport, chess, whatever it is)

for student b, the 3.7 gpa is BETTER than student a’s 4.0, because it’s clear student a needed all that time to study, and student b was able to do an enormous amount of stuff, and be successful with it, in the same amount of time.

I had 2 friends in highschool. One took all Honor classes and ended up with a 3.7 GPA. THe other took no honor classes and ended up with a 4.0. They both got similar SAT scores. The one with no honor classes went to Brown. The one with Honor classes went to Ohio State University. So yes you can get into a good college as long as you kee your GPA up. IF you can get a 4.0 in regualr calsses but cant get a 4.0 in all honors your better off with the regular calsses to get palced into a better college.

Im taking all honors classes and I am a sophomore. They are good classes to be in but if the class is too challenging for you then ypu should get out of the class. I have been in honors classes ever since I was in 5th grade. It WILL be hard but you just have to keep up with all your work and do your best.

All im saying is if you don’t slack off then you will do good in your classes.

dude!! your gonna stress yourself out with all the honor classes…yes you can still get into a good college..lol your taking this to seriously..calm down a lil..its your freshman year..
