Hi (= I dyed my hair black. I cant say I regret it because I really did like it. It was a little to harsh on my skin tone though(the reason why I got rid of it). Anyways after 6 mo. I stripped it to dark brown. It isn’t such a problem as everyone makes it out to be. EVERYONE said it would turn orange. Nope. Not mine. You can probably tell your mom this.

What you need to do is give her reasons:

-Products like “color oops”(hair color remover) are only $12 at walgreens. Tell her that if it really doesnt work out after you try it, you promise you will get rid of it.

-Maybe you can use it as a leverage thing, like, for your birthday?

-Does anyone in your family have black hair? My dad does, and that really helped me when I was trying to convince my mom.

-Pictures- Show her pictures. It’s probable that the reason you mom doesnt want you to do it is because she doesn’t like the style of people who have it. So find pics online and print them out( or if you want 2 b more casual, use a magazine) and show her a look that SHE may like. Or on the otherhand, if your mom isn’t that strict about the style you have, show her the style you really want so she can understand what your shooting for.

-Do you have short hair? If so, then it can easily be grown out/trimmed without the long wait that some people opt for.

If she says no after all this, I guess there’s not much left to do besides wait until your 18. I’m sorry, I know that’s not what you wanted to hear )=

But at least it would really give you time to think right? I mean, do you ever see old people walking around with their hair dyed jet black? When they do, it’s kind, nasty looking because it’s so damaged, and to harsh for there skin tone. I would really think about it If I were you first. What if you really didn’t like it? Or what if it’s not the kindof thing you want when your older? The longer you leave it in, the harder it is to get it out. lol, just some things to think about

I know I’ve written a lot, but all the same I hope I’ve helped you, and Good Luck!! (=

She said no…you’re just going to have to accept that.

Pestering her about it is not only likely to get you forbidden from dying your hair until you’re much older, but it could make her annoyed enough to discipline you with a grounding.

your only 13 its not like your 16,17 or 18 you are 13 your a kid, just turned a teenager and as a kid you need to accept the rules your mother puts in place for you while under her house, you live by her rules its just hair, and your only 13 if she said no, deal with it otherwise suggest you use temporary dye for a special occasion like your birthday or if you do a lot of chores for her
