What do I do if I got a seatbelt ticket?

I got a seatbelt ticket because I was wearing my seatbelt “ the wrong way “. I have to pay $55, but I am only 17 years old :( does this go on my permanent driving record? will my father know about this? HELP PLEASEEE

Answer #1

And a warning would have sufficed. To give a ticket is a little ridiculous.

It’s a non-moving violation so I’m pretty sure you dont get points… And it cycles in 3 or 5 years, then the points get taken off.

Answer #2

IF you don’t wear a seat belt properly whats the point of wearing it.

The reason a front passenger seat belt always has a shoulder strap is so your face doesn’t bounce of the steering wheel or dash board.

The cops just doing his job of serving a protecting. In this case he was protecting you from your own stupidity.

Answer #3

do you guys think it would stay on my permanant record or just for acouple months? I don’t know how this stuff works loool

Answer #4

ohhh thats stupid. I always have it under my arm due to shoulder pain. you could say the same thing.
