whats the difference between a summons and a ticket??

I got a summons about a month ago but it dosnt say how much I have to pay

Answer #1

A ticket usually just states the amount you owe, the infraction and where as well as when to pay it. A summons is normally an order to do something or to be somewhere at a specific time and date. Check if there is a phone number on the summons, if not look it up in a phone book or the Internet. It’s better to be informed then end up getting into trouble for something silly.,
