well actually you do have a point, it DOES depend on what country you are born in. I got told I was english because I was born in england, BUT. Your mum is actuaklly right it goes by blood.if your mum is australian and your dad is it makes the said child australian.

I dont think all countries have that same law, but they might. I know for fact that if your baby is born in the United States, he/she will be an automatic American citizen.

Answer #6

It depends on which country the child is born in. Many but not all countries automatically grant citizenship if you are born on their soil. However, the question of whether or not the child will be Australian is absolutely indisputable. If the parents of the child are Australian citizens, it does not matter where the child is born. They will automatically be granted citizenship.

If the baby is born in a country that grants citizenship to everyone born within its borders, the baby will have dual citizenship.
