What are your thoughts on Autism causes and treatments?

I’ve heard about the whole vaccine contributes to autism theory. I’m not sure how I feel about it. If I were a mother, I think I’d rather my child be vaccinated against disease and be on the safe side. I don’t have kids, only spend a lot of time with dogs and puppies, but I have seen dozens of them die from diseases that could have been prevented if their previous owners had gotten them puppy vaccines. Ok I’m on a tangent, but I am not a scientist, so I don’t know the potential for autism to develop from vaccines, so my opinion is not scientifically based.

Unfortunately, experts say there is no cure for this specific disability and it is genetical. My son(1 year and 10 mos.) has speech delays and was given a “communication disorder” diagnosis by his developmental pedia, though he shows red flags pertaining autism. we have to wait for another year when he reaches three years to get a final diagnosis, after occupational and speech therapy sessions. just thinking of the possibilities that my son has it is heartbreaking and devastating to me and my husband. he is such a beatutiful child. I hope this early intervention (with a touch of faith and miracle) that we are taking will pay off and improve my son’s condition. but I guess, whatever the result may be, all we need to do is help and support him with our very best and give all the unconditional love that he needs from us. for me, that is the best treatment.
