What are Stephen King books like?

My favourite book genre is fantasy. I love tales of other worlds and mystical creatures, but not airy fairy stuff, Eragon for example. I’ve heard of Stephen King and on wikipedia it says his genre is fantasy,horror,drama etc. Sounds good. I asked my Dad had he read any of his books and he had, and said that they’re quite sick, but he wouldn’t explain in what way. The IT story sounds pretty disturbing and not to my liking, but are all his books like that?! I don’t mind horror, but don’t want f*cked up murderer type stuff like that story. So does he have any fantasy books that are twisted in the good way?lol that are set in another world preferrebly!

Well his books are usually drama thriller with a side of horor. In some of his stories he’ll use mythical creatures as inspiration but all in a kind of everyday setting.
