Do famous novelists read a lot of books by other authors?

Do famous writers like Danielle Steel and Stephen King, do you think when they are not writing, they read a lot of books by other authors?

Answer #1

Maybe, but maybe not, because they wouldn’t want to be influenced by others’ work.

I think a lot of Danielle Steel books are ghostwritten, anyway.

Answer #2

yh probably cause they can get loads of new idears for their own books and change them slightly

Answer #3

Im guessing they do. Im a writer, andwhen im not writing I love to read. sometimes if you have writers block and you read a novel it like.puts you in the mood to write..especially if it was a really good book. so it might be like that for famous authors and stuff as well. ^^
