What are some ways to keep the cat out of the kitchen?

Our cat goes and jumps all over benches and randomly knocks stuff over. Any good suggestions?

train your cat not to go into the kitchen by spraying him with water in a spray bottle when you see him enter the kitchen. otherwise put tape sticky side up on the benches etc. he’ll hate getting his feet stuck and will quit it.

shut the door so the cat cant get in the kitchen, I think its minging that a cat gose in a kitchen. the hairs get on the cooker, imagine cooking and smelling burnt hair? yuk the kitchen is the most hyginic place in the home, it’s got to be kept clean so please dont let the cat in the kitchen it’s not good, just keep the door shut.

Umm, our kitchen doesn’t have a door. It’s an open plan kitchen

Put up a gate. Like if you have a backdoor screen door, put something like that up.
