Ok well I am 13 and my whole life most of the things I wanted was handed to me on a silver plate. Expecially food! My dad is the best cook in the whole fammily and my mom is so skilled that she has a secret recipe for chocolate. But sadly, the cooking skill wasnt passed down to me :( . Well since my mom and dad are busy with work most of the time and my sister refuses to make another box of mac and cheese for me, what are some easy recipes that I could do without setting myself on fire?
Maybe rice. You can probably get boil in the bag rice, packet rice or even from a normal pack of it, and it can go with anything. You can have it with chicken, veg, salad, with tinned fish anything. If you drain the rice, add it to a frying pan and add soy sauce and maybe frozen peas or onions then you have fried rice. Not difficult to do, filling, and doesnt take too long.
Soups are good =] try Jamie Oliver recipes and don't get put off by the things you don't like ! (I HATE vegetables but if they're in a Jamie Oliver recipe, I can eat them :D) Jamie's stuff is really easy to make, yet it generally looks rather complex so it's impressive looking food that's easy ;)
You could just make something as simple as a sandwich. You could also make your own mac and cheese (with less sodium than store-bought ones). Just look up simple recipes online. http://www.allrecipes.com/ is a good website to go to.
I have cooks.com in my favourites, and I use it all the time. Its like my online cookbook. Not only does it give you the recipe you were looking for, it also gives you variations of that recipe. I love it! I hope this helps you!
I started out with microwavables. Then moved onto making a sandwich. Then I started watching Food network to get the concept of soups and other types of food. Just start simple and work to the top.
Tacos are really easy to make.
Buy a thing of taco seasoning and follow the recipe on the back.
