just curiouse?
there are quite a few overweight opera singers, but there are also many overweight people in the general population. overweight people are often screened out of T.V. and the movies, because looks are considered important. in opera, looks aren't unimportant, but the most important thing is their singing ability, soo a fat person who sings well can still succeed. also there are some theories that being fat helps amplify the voice, but there are also thin singers with very big voices, like Anna Netrebko, but there are also opera singers who are quite fat, like Ben Heppner, for instance. so I don't know. I think it depends on how you are built and what your gift is, not so much weight in general :)
Hormones affect your voice. When youre little, guys and girls sounds pretty close right? Well, then they go through puberty, and their voices change, due to hormones. Guys usu have thicker vocal chords than girls, that causes them to have deeper voices. The length of the vocal chords also affects how high or how low your voice is. But not weight (:
I wouldn't say it's your weight that affects your voice, but what you ingest. Certain Foods. Dairy products, in particular, can cause lots of phlegm that interferes with singing. Not that you were talking about singing but...you know >.< Hope I helped.
no unless u are morbidly obese "sorry spelled that wrong" im guessing then maybe the extra fat would interfear? idk im just guessing
lol sorry i'm french :) i just thought of that cause i see many opera singners and they seem kinda over weight???
I've seem plenty of thin opera singers, I'm certain a voice has nothing to do with the weight you have on.
No, i don't believe so, I see many people of all shapes and sizes sing perty good.
