Wedding help, been given a seriously tight budget

ok so my father just gave me my budget for my wedding. It will be hard to make it small being that there is about 60 people alone in family that we have to invite. Yes this is my second wedding, but the first one was terrible and the cheapest wedding I know of in history being that it was under 1000. I need advice and tips on how to make this cheap but elegant. I am not sure but I dont think I have to pay for the dress as I have a famiyl memeber that wants to make it. any ideas??

$2k is plenty - not ideal in the least but itll do. Venue: big backyard w/ christmas lights for decoration. Ipod/Zune or a DJ friend thatll do it for free or very little for the music. Spend on alcohol - have it pour freely all night! and have family bring food. Honestly I dont think the dress is all that important. and have friends take pictures/video. Its just about being creative and youll end up having a more personalized wedding too. good luck. Internet has a bunch of ideas.
