Web Cam into Portable Camera
Okay what I mean is I have a web cam and I pretty much want to make it into a camera..but like a crappy one or whatever it doesnt matter…I want to make it have its own battery and record onto its own memory source..I have a few sd cards so it would be useful if it were like that…
no I dont have instructions on how to…im asking how or to show me any references on how to…
hha alright thanks..I understood that from the start honest but I saw pictures of stuff but im sure I misunderstood the camera for a webcam..thanks anyways dude
This is not something that can be done in the way you are hoping it can be. A web cam and a digital camera are two very different entities. A web cam is basically nothing but a lens and a light sensor housed in a plastic case. Almost all of its functions are controlled by the computer it is connected to. A digital camera has its own CPU built in to tell it what to do and how to do it. In order to use a web came as a digital camera, you would need far more than just a battery and memory. You would also need to connect it to something that would tell it how to operate. I’m not saying it can’t be done, but it would end up costing far more than a new camera, and would probably end up weighing around 10 pounds.
Comparing a web cam to a digital camera is like comparing a glider to an airplane. They’re both vehicles, and they can both fly, but they are both very different and not designed for the same functions.
